The brakes will be covered in the warrany if there is a problem. They should not charge you anything if you take it there as a complaint under warranty. I have NEVER taken my car to the dealer to do regular service interval work. But, having said that, it has to be done. If you don't do it, take the car in and pay. I do all mine and have logged it on MySubaru . It shows up in the same file that the dealer used to track the work they did do. Warranty work. All of it. Not bragging , I just don't like to pay for something I can do myself. Plus , I enjoy it.
