I did notice that the bearings were high compared to Ebay and a few online vendors I checked. I didn't check pistons because the quote stated "custom". I haven't had a chance to discuss just how "custom". I assume some work to attain my desired compression ratio. I don't mind paying an honest person for his time and work. But I will ask him about a 100% markup.

Yes it's alot of block for my power goals, but seeing as I already had most of the "hard parts", I don't see how building a stockish EJ22T would be much cheaper. Almost all of the machining work would be the same, correct? The only major operation that could be cut would be the #5 thrust work.
