IU thought about 17's, but like AGscooby said, the only tire with right profile was a 225/50 Michelin, which would have broken me
I got the 99RS wheels and tires from the local subaru dealer for $250
The 215/55's are al ittle stiffer and more stable than the RE92's, but I think it's more due to being a better tire with a stiffer sidewall; it is a bit taller, which would otherwise mean a little more compliance with bumps and a little bit mushier transitions, but I'm really happy.
(note, my old car was running 195/60/13 BFGoodrich Radial TA's at one point on 13x5 rims, so sidewall compliance and transitional response are something I'm comfortable discussing

I put the 711's on because I had great experiences with them on my previous car, and they have much more in common with the victoracers, even though they're h-rated. These are not like the 712's, they look exactly like p-zero directionals (front tires) and they've worked great in snow and mud for me, too
KYB is doing either GR2's or AGX's in OB fitments this calendar year sometime........
