Break in procedures are debatable, as always, but I wouldn't have him totally thrash it in the first 1K. After that, though, feel free to stomp on it.
Also, like mentioned, if he gets the high pressure fuel pump "crickets," just tell him to laugh it off. It isn't detrimental to the car, and there isn't a permanent fix anyways.
And a good rear jacking point is the differential, just make sure to put a wooden board between the diff and the jack when lifting the car.
Above all else, tell him to enjoy the performance and the great gas mileage!
