Not to jack the thread, but why did Subaru go with the single port instead of the dual port?

A full exhaust does seem like it would warrant more reasoning to go ahead with the 2.25" piping, but I only had a cat-back so that's unchartered territory for me.
do not use diameter to compare. You have to use the area.

THe same area, will flow the same ammount of gas. Where the problem lies is that to get to the single exhaust port, the exhaust gas has a cuple of kinks on each cylinder to make it there. You also loose the ability to use an equal length header because there are only 2 exhaust ports.
