Second question: there was no gasket for the mid to axleback...do I need one or will it not leak without one.
I got my catback last week, still waiting on a few issues before I comment too much. I was able (mostly) to get a socket over the axleback hardware but yeah the holes on the flange are definitely too close to the pipe and not a "standard"
location. This was reinforced by the 3" axleback gasket I received that needed a lot of filing to enlarge the bolt holes to line up with the narrower flange holes. You will need a gasket there, even with the one supplied I could not get it to seal without some gasket goo. Very pleased to have a lift for this install.
