I think I know who you're talking about, and yeah he can be hard to nail down. Good guy though. I've done a deal with him in the past.
FTE can be so many things with a Saiga. Even with all of the polishing that I've done and getting the right gas setting if I didn't make sure my shoulder didn't give at all I'd have a FTE. You can't give at all to the recoil or the bolt just won't cycle. Once you get things dialed in, you'll be able to shoot even Winchester birdshot. I ate through an entire magazine of the stuff without a single FTE.
