Default Hyundai releases teaser of i-Flow ahead of Geneva

Quote:
Following Opel’s decision to release a teaser shot of its next Voltec-based concept, Hyundai has also released a teaser prior to the official release set for the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. Based on the rendering, it looks as if this concept has strong potential to become a production candidate in the near future.

Just days after Hyundai’s Kia unveiled its Ray plug-in hybrid concept, Hyundai released a new concept of its own. The Hyundai i-Flow is a futuristic sedan that appears to share some design cues with the Lotus Elise’s front end, and a bit of BMW 6-Series out back.

Being as that the release was just meant to whet your appetite before the full release due in early March, Hyundai hasn’t said much aside from the fact that this concept would fall into the D-segment. Hyundai did however indicate that the concept car incorporates numerous new technologies from chemical company BASF – including special lightweight materials and solar cells.

Given that tidbit of information, we can expect this concept to call on the sun for at least a portion of its energy consumption
