Few things to add about the old school cars:

The FWD models have different rear struts and suspension than the awd models. So only FWD rear struts will fit, and you can't easily swap on lateral links to add a rear swaybar. That brings me to my next point, which is most of the older L models did not have a rear swaybar so lateral links and mounting brackets would have to be swapped on. I'm not sure which years that applies to but I did an "add a rear swaybar write up" awhile ago if you want to use it:
