It's a silly statement because he has it completely backwards. If you were to drive a 200whp torquey car and a 250whp peaky car, the 200whp car might "feel" quicker, since the power is always there- but the 250whp car is obviously going to be faster. "Torque wins races" is a ridiculous statement, unless we're talking about a tractor pull!
