It's NOT a safety feature... It's a crutch, for people who can't get their coordination together good enough to start out on a hill without rolling back, it's to allow/enable them to drive a manual that they can't/shouldn't drive. Same with many other new car "enhancements" like self parking, self braking, backup cameras, blind spot warning...
I want to remove it because it interferes with my normal driving takeoffs and makes me have to hesitate or maybe stall the car if I do like normal and just take off...
