Hey everybody. I have a 2002 WRX with 54k on the clock. It has a turbo-back exhaust and no other mods (except suspension). The previous owner had a UTEC programmer on it that I leave set to 0 for what should be "stock" mapping. Just wondering what the overall recommendation for this piece is. Should I remove it? I don't intend to get in and swap a bunch of settings around. Is it possible that it's messing w/ my everyday "stock" performance of the car? I think if I were ever going to screw with the computer I'd have a pro just tune the cars computer for my specific application (but perhaps the UTEC is a better option for that). Seeing what the forum consensus might be. If a removal is suggested, anyone know how to do that? Is it as straight forward as locating it and pulling it out? Thanks in advance.
