Good luck. From this and another thread ad hidplanet, there doesn't seem to be other Mini D2S owners that had / noticed this issue (myself included). When I was actively researching which retrofit projectors I wanted to select, the only issue I recall seeing with the Mini D2S is tweaking the hotspot location.
On that note, I initially assembled the rubber washer and c-ring in reverse order in one of the units, which resulted in the bulb in that unit being easier to rotate when the end cap is pushed/pulled. What I noticed was the hotspot was a bit low compared to the other one.
Once I reassembled the washer & c-ring correctly, the hotspot was much more centered, and a bit harder to nudge off center.
