I'm going to use the stock location - I know I'll be giving something up in sound quality, but I don't want to make any modifications to the door panels, A-pillars, et cetra. All the advice has been plenty helpful though, I appreciate it guys.
Oh, and lowranger, thanks for the compliment - it certainly sounded decent enough to me when it was in my 240, hoping it'll sound even better in the Scoob.
And Pain++, yeah, the drive SUCKS. :-) Of course, I did it for my first two years in my 240 with 4x6 speakers in front and in back, and sometimes even with a really dumb blonde - the Scoob and its factory system CANNOT be that bad. :-D Oh, and you weren't a CpE/EE/CS major by any chance, were you? (The Pain++ would certainly suggest you were an engineer here :-)).
