How to: remove daytime running lights on a 2013 STi
Couldn't find a decent how to, so I snapped a couple of pics. Its really quite simple and I figured it out myself with the help of a few random posts.
1) Remove the two clips holding the intake scoop by unscrewing them slightly and then popping them out with your flat head. The scoop then just pulls out.
2) Next you are going to unclip the MAF sensor, and the two clips holding the airbox/ filter. At this point, split the box open and carefully remove the filter. You may want to clean or replace it while you are at this too.
3) After that, there is a bolt and a nut that needs removing. One is tucked under the left of the passenger fender, and the other down to the right of the airbox when facing it. After that, unscrew the hose clamp and work the tube off the box.
4)At this point it will be easier if you take the screw cap off the headlight on the interior. It just screws off by hand. Once that is off, unclip the tubing clipped onto the right side of the air box, and then go ahead and work the two half's of the air box out. The front half of it will have a bottle under it which you will have to work out with it. Once that is out, you can get to work on the cable.
5) You will see the two clips way down left under the light. Unclip the grey connector. Zip tie it away somewhere, i made sure to point the ends down just incase some moisture gets near it.
[b] And that's it, you are done. Just reverse steps 1-4 and you are good to go![/B
