with a 50/50 bias for power, and the old rule of steering radius vs pedal position for traction, the front should lose traction first in nearly all situations.
Also the torque vectoring via using the brakes only happens on the front wheels of the wrx. An LSD up front should reduce the inner wheel braking often responsible for bogging the engine.
