You are correct - looking at the DOT spec which is Title 49, Part 571, Sec. 571.116, Standard no.1 116 (located here ) it says "S5.1.14 Fluid color. Brake fluid and hydraulic system mineral oil shall be of the color indicated: DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1 non-SBBF—colorless to amber. DOT 5 SBBF—purple. Hydraulic system mineral oil—green."

Some sites claim the superblue exceeds the specs, but a large number of the vendors which I found while doing a search state it's a dot 4 rated fluid... shame on them
