All crank pulley bolts are done up real tight, and they self-tighten too.
A trick I was taught was to put your thickest breaker bar to it and rotate until it met with something solid, like the frame rail or the subframe. Next, with the plug leads off, give it a quick hit on the starter...best torque wrench there is. Just don't stand there with your head over the thing looking at it...
