Yes, hawk pads will not be good for road racing, but they are loads better than the stock pads and are quite adequate for DD and occasional autox. And, if you're only going to be daily driving your car, you're just throwing your money away if your buying Pagid, Ferodo, etc pads... not to mention your rotors too. IMO, to buy things just 'cause they are "high end", specifically when the person is not going to use them to their full potential is overkill.
