If you are after fuel economy, then you want to boost as little as possible. I'm guessing if you turned down the boost and leaned things out a bit, you might be able to improve a couple fractions of a mile per gallon, but no more than that.

In any case, engine management isn't the way to improve fuel econony, a right foot weight reduction program is.
