TN 30 was definetly awesome...for a tarmac road
this weekend confrimed my growing suspicion that pavement is for bleepers
bring on the dirt! that road going to the last spectator stage was the best (no, we didn't go via the directions, we took the "scenic" route). i was really wishing for a front skidplate. those rocks just kept trying to eat my oilpan. i'll probably have to buy one from paul cause he was so cool. then again, so were the guys from rallyspec.
anyway, it was great meeting everybody and i had a blast and thanks for letting me crash in the hotel room
and as far as impreza reliability goes, i would love to have more break downs if any local dealerships were as cool as Kelly. my left rear wheel bearing gave out on the drive out wendesday night. by thursday night TN 30 among other roads had made it really bad so i took it in friday morning to get it serviced before the south-east club meeting there. they did it an hour quicker than my local dealership, had good magazines in the waiting room (R&T, Automobile, C&D, etc) and, instead of bitching about me off-roading as evidenced by my dirty undercarriage like my dealership, they told me that my car was pretty dirty (from going to the rally) so they WASHED it! they also gave us all shirts. they kick ass.
