I have a friend with an 82 a/r 3076 and we routinely drive one another's cars and he comments all the time. I don't know if its worth the extra money however as we are within 200 rpm spool of one another at full throttle. The results are repeatable though.. Nothing mind blowing. My car feels livelier to 5 psi though as in pulling away from a stop. It's hard to quantify.

It has to do with blade speed ratio (i.e. wheel size matching) and inertia. Have a read:
