Also, what is the point on 89 oct? Would it be better? I tried it l last fill up and the performance and mpg was similar. I'm running 91 shell for a tank cause I'm going to be driving a long distance so I need the higher level. and it is suppose to "clean out the gunk" not sure if that is a marketing scheme our not

Your referring to the ones that DirknJirkn mentioned? Have any pictures for reference?
As for the 89 octane I honestly have no clue, every car ive seen is either regular (87) or premium (91), however I have heard the same idea that the higher octane will clean out your engine/tank and mainly because it will burn a little bit cleaner/hotter. Anyone else have some feedback on this?
