I wanted to eloborate on David's post regarding the "99.9% optically perfect" part. Only the Z2 is 99.9% optically perfect. That's why they recommend you always finish up with a coat of Z2.

You may want to check out the Zaino website. ....or read this site for a good explanation of clay bar usage:

http://www.autopia-carcare.com/clwicl.html

Zaino recommends washing your car with Dawn (the regular blue stuff) to remove any wax. Apparently, Dawn has a high alkaline content and will strip wax without damaging your finish. Obviously, you don't want to use Dawn unless you are trying to remove the wax layer from your car. When it's clean, rub your hand over the car's surface. Do you feel grit or imperfections? If so, it's advisable to use a clay bar to remove those contaminants before applying coats of Zaino. If not, you'll just be sealing them in. With such a new car you may not have to do a lot of prep.
