You need to define what you mean by 'plug and play'.

Any DOHC Subaru head will bolt up, but all will need an intake manifold to go with it. This is where you need to define just how plug and play (or how much fabrication) you wish.

Head on over to www.LegacyCentral.org and start the reading. Folks have done all sorts of DOHC swaps and most have posted about them.

I *personally* believe the least expensive DOHC swap is to find a deal on a COMPLETE EJ20G and swap in your EJ22T shortblock into it. All those hoses, pipes, and tubes can be hard to track down if you "just get some heads and a manifold". Of course I value a stock looking swap, you may not.

Picking up a second set of EJ22T heads and having cams and a bit of portwork done has also been proven to be effective for "street" power levels, but seems to be out of favor lately.
