I go a step further and rotate the engine by hand 4-6 revolutions to get the tensioner fully seated and check timing marks against the covers before I crank it up. Just an insurance step against belt slippage. Note that the belt marks won't line up, but the pulley marks should always line up on every other pass.

Fallow the above advice and you'll be good to go.
