Default Cobb CAI whistle

I just threw my Cobb CAI on during my lunch break and took the RS for a ride through my office park to test things out. When I accelerate moderately hard, I hear a distinct whistle now.

I checked all the vaccuum hoses to make sure they were all tight. I got new hoses from Cobb, but the diameter is slightly less than the stock stuff so I cannot use those pressure clips. The connections seem tight though.

I had someone listen while I had the car parked with the hood open and the engine revving. It seems that we have located where the sound is coming from. It is coming from the end of the intake in the fender openning.

The intake is going into the hole closest to the passenger cabin, resting on the opening. There are a couple of hoses or wires running through there that sit pretty close together...

So the question is: Has anyone else had this problem? Could those two hoses/wires being so close act as reeds and make the whistle? Thanks.
