Default might want to have a couple go staight over

Remember this is a first come first serve kind of deal. You may want a couple of folks who live close to go directly to the track to get an early place in the line for the ticket gate. You need to be there at least 1/2 to a full hour before the gates if you want to get in within a reasonable time after the gates open.

Last year I got there about 45 min before the gates opened and was something like 60 -100 cars from the front of the line.

Have the first person in, pick a good pit location. You can't officially "reserve spaces" but the early arrivals tend to space themselves out some, and similar cars tend to pit near each other, both for moral support and the occasional need to borrow tools etc.

If you can get two WRX's, or RS's in early and they set up pit locations a few places apart, they will likely hold a block of spaces for subie friendly cars.

My suggestions.

Pit location, easy walking distance from the refreshment stand, and close enough to the starting area that you can watch runs that interest you. Near but not on top of the porta potties, and toward the east end of the pit area so you can jump in line easily when your ready to go. This will also give you a reasonable cool down drive from the time slip booth which is at the extreme west end of the pit area, when you finish your run.

Conditions last year, in the high 80's to low 90's. We got rained out in early mid - after noon, so be sure to get a couple of early runs in.

Last year they had some reserved spaces (folks payed for this space like booths at a flea market) immediately east and west of the refreshment stand for both vendors and a couple high profile cars.

They will call time trial runs in groups, so after you run your first time trial, you will sit a while until they call for your group to make its second run. Likely an hour or so between passes.
