I'm not entirely sure that's it - I have on several occasions (car still in break in, so this is under light driving) made a conscious effort to completely let my foot off the gas, wait a split second and depress the clutch, it still blips up... I can't decide if it's by design or fault... Here's what I THINK is happening... it's long winded so only read if you care...

I suspect the ECU is going through some type of deceleration routine that gradually lets off the throttle (well more gradually than a cable and just lifting your foot, but not slowly by any means) and when i depress the clutch while it is in that process it is still applying a slight amount of throttle causing the rpms to jump just briefly.... it's not like it's out of control, if i shift right at 3500 rpms, it probably jumps to 3650-3700 if that...

I dunno... it's similar i think to what happen with the 2002s while on cruise control, if you yanked the car outta gear it didn't respond right away, it blipped the throttle up and then finally let go.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying I am the greatest driver, and it is certainly a new car, However it definitely has to be part of the drive by wire as out of the other 2 manuals we own, they don't do it, and my rex certainly didn't.

I'm sure that just adjusting my driving or shifting faster (RAWR!) will fix the problem, it also might not do it while under hard acceleration, and since i have the whopping 280 miles on it I don't know yet...

Peace - Z
