If you don't mind me asking, what type of price did get from him? (Eventually when I mod, I'd like to have a general idea what other shops are offering so I know I'm not getting screwed)

I can't speak for the OP, but I would rather have a reputable shop do the install for me. I would rather pay a little more and have the install done right, rather than do in myself and not know if what I've done is up to par.
