Go to your local body shop and ask really nicely if they can whip up a tiny batch of touch up paint for you that matches. The applicator they use (looks like a mini Q-tip) is much more precise on small chips than the brush that comes with touch up paint or nail polish. Then you will not have to try to come up with any stories about how you are not actually trying to match your finger nails to your wheels.
