Post Abnormal Clutch noises?

I will try my best here.

Right below the air filter, on the right, near the fire wall, there is a mechanism that seems to be part of the clutch.

What is happening at idle or when the clutch is pressed is that this piece tends to chirp as if it is rubbing on rusty metal. I WD40'd the sucker to death but it will not stop and actually is getting louder.

I located a what looks to be a rubber dust boot below it and sprayed WD40 down there as well but still no luck.

If it helps I was told by a muffler shop guy it sounded like the throwout bearing was going out. Not too sure he knew what he was talking about.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Jack
