So I just compared standard and zxe 9005 high beams.
Both have same lumens 1700 bit color temps are diff 3200k and 4200k but there is deff a difference in brightness
3200k is the color of a standard bulb in your house. 4200k is the color of a CFL or fluorescent bulb. I think the color gives the illusion of a brighter bulb. The white light is very easy on the eyes compared to the yellowish hue of the OEM bulb, when behind the wheel.
The color temp does not dictate the brightness of the lightbulb. Also, tinting a halogen bulb to give off white light does not make it brighter.
