I perform multiple roles at a tire/service shop, phone conversation with a (younger male) customer the other day:
"Thank you for calling (my workplace), this is Cody, how can I help you?"
"Hi, I need to get tires."
"Ok, can you tell me your tire size please?"
"I'm not sure"
"Alright, well, what's the year, make and model of the vehicle?"
"... I don't know... It's white"
"... Ohhh K."
"Maybe I should call you back with that information."
"Yeah, that would be helpful, thanks."
I think we all consider ourselves, at least to some extent, 'car people', myself included, so when I encounter somebody like this, my mind has a hard time coping with it. It's incredible.
