I actually have a thread measuring tool, it's 0.90mm.
The flow is from the evap pipe to the intake manifold/purge valve. So evap pipe goes to the nipple with the arrow.

That is the post that was confusing me too. I don't see any reason for swapping them so maybe he just made a mistake.

So I ran this "re-routing" by Matt at 555 Motor Sports (he's my tuner) and he suggested to remove the solenoid all together and vent the evap pipe to atmosphere. He said there are start up issues when routed like the JDM cars.
