You have to cut the jack mount on the underside of the spare tire well to fit the swaybar, and dent the spare tire well with a BFH (unless you want it to make lots of noise )

It's pretty simple to do, but it does require some "modification" to make fit

why not just drop a little more cash and get teh ipd rear sway thats adjustable and made for our cars. you get the bar and endlinks/bushings for $165 from rallitek.com. i have one and i love it and its way better than the wrx bar.

+1 for not having to beat the hell out of your car to install a mod.

I like my Whiteline adjustable RSB.

OP just asked what it would take to install a 02+ WRX Swaybar on the legacy... We used the Perrin Bars on Erik's 96 BD Rally car, and My little brother's 1990 Legacy Turbo Sedan...

+2 for not beating your car to death... Install something that's made for your car Whiteline, IPD, Cobb?

I got my Outback RSB for $50. Its 18mm and requires no modification to fit. Very good upgrade

Anywhere from 96-99 should be 18mm.

Mine is 12mm, but that's an L swaybar.

Ditto for the OB swaybar, I've got one and it's great.
