Got the Cusco rear sway bar several days ago, and I noticed it was only a 18mm bar instead of 20mm I would like to get.
A little disppointed, but decided to keep the bar. This bar was auctally made for the BH5 instead of BE5. For some reason, BH5 has 16mm rear sway bar BE comes with even larger bar in Japan.
As I tried to put the bar on, there was no 18mm bushing from Cusco!!
Finally pick up a set of energy suspension 18mm bushing from auto suppply store and get the bar to fit well.
Oh, One thing, if install the bar by yourself, do not just jack up from the rear hook. I kept wondering why the new bar was just off a bit when the car was on the jack. After I crawled out from under the car, I realized the car was "swayed" to one side, of course it won't fit. The freaking bar was bended already!!!
At last, on the road now, tried several favor turns and onramps. The car actually felt very neutural to just a little over steer. Maybe my S-Tech meduim spring helped a bit, but the car was sure not understeering anymore.
Just wondering what will the adjustable bars feel when it's set to 20mm or even 22mm. Since my 18mm bar is already giving me very neutural feel, I wonder if the 20mm bar will produce too much oversteer.
Update: The topic should be BE6 instead of BE5. After all, my car doesn't have the TT.
