Default can't load map on accessport, help

I searched and looked at the book that cobb gives you but I can't figure this out. I downloaded the software from the cd, and connected the accessport, but when I went to import a map the system didn't see it. SO I went to cobb's web site and downloaded the updated software. The computer now sees the new map, but the accessport map management says that "could not identify accessport." any help would be greatly appreciated

Go into the communication setting for map manager and have it auto detect the AP. if that does not work, go to your computer's port settings and figure out which port you are connected to. Use that information to help map manager find the AP. Also, the AP must be in "sync to PC" mode to connect to the computer. If your AP is married it is a menu option, if it is not married then when you power it up, hold both buttons down until it goes into "synd to PC" mode. If nothing works call Cobb on Monday, they will help you, they have great customer service.
