Default hitting only 8 psi

I just reflashed to stage 1 93 octane and i am currently only hitting 8 psi. that is not the only problem as when i go up the rpm range, boost is not slowly rising. Boost would raise to 6.6 and then drop to 3 and then start to raise to the currant max of 8. This can not be normal. I know how i am suppose to give it two weeks to adjust but i would assume that boost would at least hit stock levels at first. FYI i am reading the boost off the acessport. i didn't have a way to read boost before the ap, so i can not confirm if i was even reaching stock boost levels to begin with. What do you guys think is the problem? could it be a solenoid problem? thanks

Have you unplugged the green test connector after the reflash. There was another guy here that forgot and had no/very little boost.

I was in this same position with my stage 2 AP. Check all the vacuum lines to and form the wastegate, make sure there is the restrictor pill between the "T" in the vacuum line and the compressor. if all those parts are intact and not leaking, it very well may be the wastegate solenoid. I have a friend with the same year WRX as mine, we traded wastegate solenoids and it turned out to be the problem. I found a used one on the for sale forums for $50 shipped ($150 new from the dealer).

What gear were you getting 8 psi in?

I think just need to give the ecu time to learn. Mine was hitting only about 6-7 psi in 3rd right after the stage 1 flash but after about 10-20 miles of driving I was hitting almost 14psi in 4th.
