This will all depend on the tune and psi you're willing to run. I just added meth, 22psi (was 18) and a tune by Jestr Tuning and it made a world of difference (0 counts of knock). Good luck.

See if your tuner is willing to go with a different MAP sensor, the one that can read more than 24psi - that's why they avoid tuning above that magic number.

At 24 psi it should be a huge difference going from 18 im guessing. Not sure how long the turbo will last at its peak boost. Who's your tuner?

Sounds sick. When your done you should come up to Orlando and run at the drag strip. Good luck.

jeff recently tuned my car. Wow what a great job. You should feel a big difference with the meth added.

Here are my gains after meth. Now granted this is on a 2.0L WRX, not an STi, but this is just to give you an idea of the gains availible with a good tuner.

Setup is a VF22, UTEC, MRT TMIC, HKS downpipe with user added wastegate dump tube, TurboXS uppipe, Perrin Short ram, stromung catless exhaust, Snow performance kit using 50/50 meth/distilled water mix. I want to dump the UTEC, and go ECUTEK or Protune. I am tired of UTEC. That or I will go HYDRA.

Anyway. The thinner lines are my pump gas map. The thicker/darker lines are the water meth tune. Tuned at 27PSI, but only run about 22-23 on the steet. Your gains should be more profound once you change the turbo, and get another tune. You should gain quite a bit with the stock turbo though.

AFR also:

Maybe it was a little less than 27psi, but you get the idea.

I am pretty sure the td04 (if thats what your running) is not gonna allow you to run 24lbs. I have an injection kit installed on my 06 and I had my tuner try and tune it on the td04 and he told me the turbo was to small to run any high boost numbers. Since than I put a 39 on my car and have been real happy. There is definatly more in the car but now it made 309whp and 345torque. My best trap so far was a 110.5. I am positive the car will go deep into the 12s unfortantly I can't deive it there yet.

The guy is running an STi, so no TD04, VF39. Go to a bigger turbo, and that is when the fun begins. 309 and 345 on a stock turbo WRX...must be nice to have that 2.5 in the new WRX's. I am stuck with the 2.0l until it dies.
