Default Hey Tech gurus: Can some answer an exhaust question?

I have a 2.25" Stromung dual tip rear unit on my Legacy. I'm wondering what, if anything, will be gained or lost in power by having an exhaust shop make me a 2.25" midpipe to go with it.

Thanks in advance!

You'll gain a little bit. not much until you have cams or something, but a few hp.

Yeah... more important is a header... then high flow cat. And cams will bring out that power.

I don't know this from personal experience, but I have read quite a bit about this and I would say that whatever you felt from the exhaust, is probabaly what you would feel from a midpipe as well... might not be quite as much, but it should be close... they do also bring up good points about hi-flow cats and headers... those would make a big difference too, but would be much more noticable WITH the midpipe...
