so i've got the knowledge to do it, and my current valvetrain sounds like it has marbles in it's harbls at 30*F and below, and there's always a light knock. it's been like that since shortly after i got the car, and i don't think it's a bad thing, it's just that my lifters need to be shimmed again... and ask me if i wanna do that...
at that point i'd rather put rebuilt heads on it and new head gaskets and never have to worry about a thing. that also means pulling the engine... and maybe i should wait till it's clutch time? there's also the thought process of if it ain't broke, don't fix it... whatty'all think? |

just depends on if you wanna pull the engine.. what i would is start collecting parts and once you have everything you need including a new clutch if you're gonna need one and do it all at once. but if you're cool with rebuilt heads drive your motor till it dies!

i want to swap in a new LGT engine and a spec-b 6mt. pipe dreams. i'm gonna go outside in the 19 degrees and work on the car.
