Default How wide a wheel can I run on these

I am thinking of purchasing a set of Super Advans that are 18 by 8.5 with a 45mm offset. They have a set of 225/40/18s on there but I would like to go wider so was wondering what the widest I can go is? Is it possable to run a 255/40/18 or a 255/35/18? I do not want a rubberband as a tire so some sidewall is wanted haha

That wasn't your initial question, it was worded that you wanted to know if it would fit on that wheel. I don't know if you have a wagon, a sedan, suspension...there's no way I could determine if it would rub. BUT, a 265 I would think you would get some rubbing on the fender in the back assuming you have a sedan (definitely if you have a wagon). But you could easily roll the fender lip and NOT have rubbage.

I figured i would have to roll it. already bought my fender roller and should be doing that as soon as I get it.

my car is an 02 WRX sedan
I am running eibach pro springs, AGX struts. Group N strut tops f/r, Cusco sway bars f/r(hardest setting), Cobb endlinks f/r, cusco rear strut bar -w- v-brace.

Will they fit or will I have to go smaller:-( which i dont want to do
