Hi,
Just got the OEM 3-gauge pack. From what I see, I could put it either in the place of the dash clock, or fit in in the empty DIN slot above my CD player. Opinions & preferences? (or photos, so as to see how it ends up looking..) Thanks, Blue |

if you got the OEM gauge pack i would suggest that you put it where the clock is. Especially because you have a DIN radio,(unless you upgraded) it wont even fit. I would also look into other options for gauges before you put all that money for the OEM gauges. You can get alot better looking ones and a nicer pod for the cost of the OEM ones. Also you can get alot more functional gagues, IE boost, egt, and oil pressure. those are the ones that matter the most.
EDIT: i see you already bought it, put it where the clock is then. |

Got it from Ebay, a few times cheaper than the Subaru price (~250 U$). If it weren't for the price, I agree there are other, better solutions.
Playing with the gauge pack now, and I fitted it without any problems into a CD player bracket... maybe it will still fit above the radio? (given it's in principle one full empty CD player slot) |

Congrats.
Those of us who have been around a while, low post counts not withstanding, know how your gages look. You might want to keep the option open for a clock pod. The sight lines are slightly better. |

Thanks. Putting them next to the CD player was justified by a) personal aesthetical preferences (the OEM clock pod with OEM gauges dont' look too good IMHO)
as well as b) the fact that being an average non-racing daily commuter I do not need to have them constantly in sight. For that, the clock pod, or an A-pillar pod are much better... got to be realistic about the needs ![]() |

Another reason for not getting a clock, or A pillar pod is its easier for people to see when you are parked. Thieves I hate thieves.![]() |

You'd be worried about theft with respect to gauges??
