I just bought a set of the non- jdm p. springs, and was curious of the differences of the two springs. Im shure this topic is all all over this forum, but i have searched, and hope i made the right decsion on the springs, Im just lookin for a small even drop, from front to rear, with a little stiffer of a spring. thanks

JDM Pink springs are intended for the STi. They will be a bit on the stiff side for a WRX.
USDM Pink springs are intended for the WRX. They will be wasted on an STi since they are pretty close to the stock STi springs. Both are pretty good when used on the intended car. - Andrew |

Any of you guys have any comments on the usdm pinks? Level of drop, ride qualtiy, difference form stock?

the drop (WRX pinks) is between 10-15mm, the spring rates are quite a bit firmer than stock at 223/195- oe WRX (depending on model/tranny) is 168/117 (sedan/MT)- ballpark 35% increase in front rates, 65% increase in rear rates
the drop of the STi pinks on a WRX is ~ 30-35mm, rates firmer yet @ 252/217 the WRX ones will work OK w/ the oe struts, aftermarket struts will work much better, I'd say no to the STi ones w/ oe WRX struts |
