Default valve spring

why would the valve spring need to be replaced on a 2005 sti? is that pretty serious repair? fyi, that was done on my friends sti by a dealer. is that some indication of bad driving or something else?

2005 how many miles, maybe it was weak, who knows. Thats what a warranty is for.

Is that all they did?
