I really like the rear 3/4 view. I'm still waiting for the US Corolla/Matrix pics and specs.

+1, opinions will vary, but I preffer this to the new Impreza hatch.

A little Renault Megane looking from the back.

It's quite heavy too, but it does have V6.

an awd matrix with a stout engine would be interesting. That's a lot of torque to be sending to the front wheels.

By the way, I'm still waiting for the new lightweight RWD Toyota under $15K to come out. Still miss my hachi, and I'll grab one of those to be my daily commuter and let my scooby have weekend duties...

I'd rather wait for the Blade Master-G Zinger Spec-FTR with AWD and a stick.

Wasn't it heavily rumoured that the Blade, with a changed front fascia would be the replacement for the Matrix, replete with the 3.5 V6 for North America as well as an AWD option?

I love this to pieces - hatch, power, Toyota quality and Peugeot 306 esque styling....

Great lines, looks very useful for a daily. Drop a 2L turbo diesel in it, great diesel Jetta and Golf alternative.

It comes with a 2.0L and a 2.2L diesel in Europe. 126hp/220lb-ft and 177hp/294lb-ft respectively.

I really hope they do some sort of Highlander reference in the ads. That would be sweet. "In the end, there can be only one" and then have the Blade Master come out and kick ass. Would be an awesome commercial.

But in all seriousness, this is going to be a very sweet car, and it will be even sweeter if they get AWD into it. Although with how close Toyota and FHI are right now, it will be interesting to see whether Toyota would go down that road and possibly steal away sales from the WRX. It wouldn't pull me away from the new WRX, but with that performance, it might get a few people who want more civility with their performance.
