Default Perrin vs U-R vs P&L VS Crawford Performance

I'm lookin at GT3076R .82 turbo kits and I was originally lookin at the perrin kit til I read somethin about Perrin using the older bad style exhaust housing or somethin. Also I've been wantin to use a tmic. I've been checkin out the Ultimate-Racing and P&L Motorsports kits which can use a top mount intercooler but they are about $1000 more than the Perrin kit. What do you guys hafta say about the Perrin kit vs the Ultimate-Racing kit vs the P&L Motorsports kit? I'd like to use a tmic but if the Perirn kit is better than the u-r and p&l and I hafta use a fmic I'll use one. I'm jus tryin to see whats good about each kit and whats bad about em.

Edit: Ok I jus read a review about the Crawford Performance kit and I'm adding that to the choices. Perrin GT30R, Ultimate-Racing GT30R, P&L GT30R, and Crawford Performance GT30R (if you guys know of any other worthy kits feel free to recommend them, I saw the Forced Air Tech kit but I haven't heard much about them)

Thanks for the interest!

I'd be more than happy to discuss our GT30 turbo kit with you via email/pm if you would like.

They will all suit your goals. It just depends on how much you want to fight it on the install? AND, how much driveability you want to sacrifice.

Do you want to use a tmic or fmic? I would really, really suggest a fmic.

either way, you'll still need EM, catback, injectors, tuning, fuel pump....etc. How'd you like my writeup

I was leanin towards a tmic because I don't want to add all that intercooler piping but if it really doesn't make as big a difference as I'm thinkin it will then maybe I'll go fmic, but I'd like to go tmic

IMO anything bigger than a 20G and a FMIC is necessary.. Yeah you could get away with a TMIC and a 30R, but you'll be leaving alot of HP on the table, as well as safety.. The 30R createes alot more heat, and will heatsoak the TMIC in no time..
As for the kits, all of them wil make basically the same power, even the perrin kit with the older style exhaust housing.. It comes down to what you prefer.. I wanted the wastegate to be rerouted back into the DP, and at the time the perrin kit was the only one that did that, plus it was alot cheaper so i went with the perrin kit.. The fitment could be alot better, but i didnt do the install so that didnt really matter to me. If i had to do it over again, with prices being as close as they are now between the kits, i'd have to go with the either the UR kit or the full race kit if i had extra cash.. UR is the most proven kit, and if noise is an issue like it was with me you can havbe the wastegate rerouted back into the DP for an added cost..
Perrin kit is good and definately works, but the horrible intake that comes with the kit, as well as the poor fitment, IMO they could have done a much better job and now that they have raised the price i dont think that kit is worth the cash, especially with the horrible intake..

I've seen some pretty inexpensive perrin kits on sale, with the pricing I've seen basically the U-R, P&L, and Crawford kits are atleast $1000 more than the Perrin kit, is it worth the $1000 for them? I read a review of the crawford kit and it sounds amazing, they all look good in their own ways to me I jus hafta figure out if the others are worth the $1000+ more than the perrin kit

the perrin kit is not bad at all and makes great power 400 and 380 on 91. and I recently I made 466 with 110 oct on a mustsang here in AZ in 110 degree weather. I have had my kit on and off several times and it really is a snap to install. just leave the wastegate loose untill after the downpipe is tight. it really takes me 15 minutes to remove the downpipe and 15 to put it back on.
