Default Attn: 99 GT Owners with SAFC

I have been researching the SAFC and am wondering about its effectiveness on our NA hot wire maf cars.

Does anyone out there have one? What kind of results did you see? Power gains? Flatter power curve?

I did a search and all I could find was 99 RS owners with the film maf and 00-up RS owners with MAP.

I have a cone intake and a 2.5" catback.

You might wanna hold out for the Greddy E-Manage to come out (it debuted at SEMA this year). Apparently, it is more versatile than a S-AFC (even allows you to run ANY MAF sensor), plus it has add on electronics available. I posted something last month about it. Try searching under my name and "solution 99 maf owners," or something along those lines.

Hehe, or you could just search under Greddy e-manage

I don't have too much extra money laying around. Thats why I haven't bought the SVX engine that Dale Teagues is selling for only $2000.

I am only going by parts and do mods that will work with the 3.3 as well as my current EJ25. An SAFC should work with both. You won't see me buying cams or headers or anything like that because they just wouldn't work with the flat 6.

Actually thats mainly the reason I made this post. I was wondering if the SAFC is worth me buying. Or should I save every penny for the H6. I can't forsee the H6 going in for about a year. If the SAFC will make a good difference with my current setup it will help me get over this waiting period .

Check out my reply to your post in the NA forums about this topic.

-did you get to find the information about the Greddy E-manage? I still think it would suit your application better (considering you'll be using it for your 3.3L)
