2004 usdm sti cams in a 2L
ok so my setup is as follows.
V6 sti pistons
v7 intake rail
255lph fuel pump.
right now i have the stock cams and last time i was on the dyno my powercurve falls off sharply after 6600rpm, would changing to the usdm sti cams give me a better powercurve, i dont wan to lose lowend but more top end would be nice! with the avcs delete mods obviously on the cams.
experts and mod motor nuts chime in please. thanks

more than likely you will lose some low end and move your power higher in the rpm scale. do you plan on driving more at 6600 or 3500?

they are a good "cheap" upgrade and would deliver a good all around cam for 2.0L...
IIRC they are suppose to be 256/256 with 9.6 mm and 9.8 mm lift on intake and exhaust respectively...
stock ej205's are 256's as well but 9.27/9.17 for lifts...so less top end oriented on the lift specs and a noticable amount less overall lift.
so a good little upgrade...but you will need to have the avcs oiling ports plugged, which is very simple for a machine shop.
